Riding for the Disabled Association of Queensland (RDAQ) is excited to promote an upcoming equestrian event in Brisbane! This event is all about showcasing the incredible abilities of our talented riders and raising awareness for our important cause.
In case you're not familiar with us, allow us to introduce ourselves. RDAQ is an organisation dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals with disabilities across Queensland through our program called Riding Develops Abilities. We have member centres located throughout the state, all of which are registered not-for-profit organisations.
Our equine-assisted programs are designed to improve the quality of life for our participants, helping them achieve personal goals and develop essential life skills. We truly believe in the power of inclusivity and empowerment, promoting respect for diversity in all that we do.
When it comes to disabilities, we recognise that they can take many forms. Whether it's a temporary or lifelong condition, one that's visible or invisible, caused by accident, trauma, genetics, or disease, we're here to support individuals whose mental, sensory, and/or mobility may be restricted.
Safety is of utmost importance to us, which is why our member centres undergo annual assessments to ensure they meet strict accreditation and safety requirements. We want our participants to have a positive and joyful experience, building self-esteem, confidence, and skills along the way.
We're aware of the growing demand for safe equine-assisted programs, especially in rural and remote areas. That's why one of our goals at RDAQ is to collaborate with other organisations to expand access to our accredited services. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to experience the benefits that horse riding and interaction can bring.
So mark your calendars and join us at this incredible equestrian event! Not only will you witness the amazing abilities of our riders, but you'll also be supporting a cause that truly makes a difference in the lives of individuals living with disabilities.
We can't wait to see you there, cheering on these unbelievable athletes and celebrating the power of horses to bring joy, confidence, and skills to our riders. Let's come together and make this event one to remember!
Remember, it's all about Riding Develops Abilities and the Riding for the Disabled Association of Queensland (RDAQ). Join us on this journey of inclusivity, empowerment, and respect for diversity. Together, we can make a difference!
