Welcome to Rising Sun Syndicate, a newly established syndicate located in Southbank, Australia. Founded by three experienced Japanese horsemen, our mission is to provide owners with a fully involved racing experience. We offer an affordable range of both Australian and Japanese thoroughbreds, giving Australians the opportunity to get “hands-on” with Japanese-bred horses that have achieved excellent results in Australia in recent years.

At Rising Sun Syndicate, our directors, who have extensive experience as racing managers for Japanese stables, carefully select our horses. They understand exactly what it takes for a Japanese-bred horse to succeed in Australian racing. We also offer Australian-bred yearlings at affordable prices. Unlike other syndicates, we don't solely select yearlings based on their stallion's name or strike rate.

Instead, we bring our own firsthand experience as jockeys and trainers to truly understand how these horses feel and to accurately assess a stallion's potential.

The key members of Rising Sun Syndicate are Kosi Kawakami, Yusuke Ichikawa, and Shinya Mori, all of whom have nearly 20 years of experience in the Australian horse racing industry. With backgrounds as jockeys, assistant trainers, and racing managers, they have developed a great relationship with trainers Aaron Purcell and Matt Cumani. This close partnership ensures that our horses receive the best possible opportunities in their racing careers.
