Riversdale Beach Surf Club

Treatment room for first aid and emergency medical assistance, an equipment storage area for surf lifesaving equipment, changing rooms and showers, a training room for lifeguard and member education, and a social area for members and visitors to gather and relax.

The Riversdale Beach Surf Lifesaving Club is dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of beachgoers in the Wairarapa region. The programme welcomes children of all abilities and offers a fun and interactive learning experience. The club also assists with hundreds of first aid incidents each year, responding to a range of beach-related and everyday emergencies.

The club serves as the local search and rescue base, collaborating with Fire Rescue New Zealand and Wellington Free Ambulance to respond to local emergencies.

The club's headquarters, a modern and well-equipped clubhouse, was built in 2016 in partnership with the Masterton District Council. The facility provides essential amenities for both club members and the community. From a dedicated treatment room for first aid and medical assistance to storage space for surf lifesaving equipment, the clubhouse caters to the needs of the club and supports its mission of ensuring the safety and well-being of all beachgoers.
