At Nam Pai Chuan Roath, we believe in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all. Our experienced instructors are dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential, regardless of their starting fitness or ability level.
Our classes are held at the Plasnewydd Community Centre, conveniently located within walking distance of Cardiff City Centre. Classes are held on Mondays from 8-10pm and Thursdays from 7:30-9:30pm. The first class is free, so you can come and join us for a taster session and see if Nam Pai Chuan Kung Fu is the right fit for you.
We offer a range of discounts for different groups. The standard class fee is 6 per class or 5 per class for students and unemployed individuals. We also offer a discount of 2. 50 per class for individuals who are both unemployed and users of Mental Health/Substance Abuse treatment facilities.
Asylum seekers can pay just 50 pence per class with relevant identification or immigration reporting papers.
Membership costs 35 for one year, which includes insurance and a licence number from the British Council for Chinese Martial Arts. Grading fees are 30, or 25 for students and unemployed individuals. For anyone who achieves the blue belt or higher, the cost is 40, or 35 for students and unemployed individuals.
Training with Nam Pai Chuan Roath offers numerous benefits, including improving fitness, strength, and flexibility. Our classes incorporate a variety of exercises, from circuits to high-intensity interval training and padwork, to help you reach your fitness goals. Additionally, you will learn self-defence and conflict resolution techniques through practising techniques such as punching, kicking, takedowns, sparring, joint locking, and grappling.
