Rondeau Yacht Club in Morpeth has been tirelessly organized by Dana for an engaging season on the water. Known for its tight-knit community and excellent facilities, the club is a favourite among local boating enthusiasts.

Dana's got an exciting lineup prepared, with races across various categories like Laser Junior Singles, Laser Junior Doubles, and Laser Senior Singles. Everything's run under the World Sailing Racing Rules 2021-2024, keeping things competitive and fair for everyone involved.

Racing fees are kept reasonable, making it easy to jump in. Junior seasonal racing is $35 for non-members, seniors are at $40 (which covers 3 days of racing), and a single race day for seniors is just $15 if you're not a member. If you are a member, you get a discount, plus the chance to rent club boats for $20 a day.

The race season is packed with events. Junior races usually hit the water on Saturdays in July and August, while seniors sail on Sundays. While the weather might throw a curveball now and then, Dana ensures the races run smoothly.

On race days, Dana makes sure everything starts with a morning rig-up session and a skippers meeting on the RYC deck. There’s time for new racer sign-ups, a review of tactics, and a pre-race briefing to get everyone ready. Post-race, there's a meeting to discuss any rules questioned and lessons learned.

For those in need of a boat, the club’s fleet is open to members and non-members on a first-come, first-serve basis. Dana manages requests fairly and maintains the boats in great condition for everyone’s safety and enjoyment.
