Sarah Louise School of Dance, a local Contemporary Dance club in Northallerton, is excited to announce the upcoming Spring exam session for 2023 organised by The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD). RAD is globally recognised for its rigorous and high-quality exams and assessments, catering to dancers of all ages and skill levels.

Creativity and musicality are the core focuses of RAD, ensuring that dancers have ample opportunities to grow and succeed. The Graded Exam Syllabus offered by RAD covers a wide range of levels, starting from Pre-Primary in Dance and going up to Grades 1-8. This comprehensive syllabus aims to provide a practical dance education and enhance technical, musical, and performance skills.
For those aspiring for a career in dance, the Vocational Graded Exam Syllabus is a perfect choice. It includes levels such as Intermediate Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced Foundation, Advanced 1, and Advanced 2. These levels offer an in-depth study of ballet, thoroughly preparing students for a professional dance career.
Interested dancers can expect coaching sessions for the exams to begin in late January or early February. However, please keep in mind that there will be no coaching during the half-term. The specific date for the Spring exam session in 2023 is yet to be confirmed.
To give you an idea of the schedule, here are the timings for the coaching sessions:
- Primary: 4:15 PM – 5:00 PM
- Grade 1: 5:00 PM – 5:45 PM
- Grade 2: 5:45 PM – 6:30 PM
- Grade 3: 6:30 PM – 7:15 PM
- Grade 4: 7:15 PM – 8:00 PM
- Grade 6: 8:00 PM – 8:45 PM
