Rulebook that provides specific details and guidelines for each class. TAM5 238. 2 stands for Technical Achievement Measure 5, Article 238. 2.
This class focuses on technical skills and challenges for both horse and rider. It includes various combinations, tight turns, and difficult jumps.
2Phase 274. 2 refers to a class that combines two different phases. In the first phase, riders complete a course of jumps without any faults. If they are successful, they move on to the second phase, which is a jump-off against the clock.
Style and Best Style are classes that specifically judge the rider's position, balance, and effectiveness. These classes put an emphasis on the rider's technique and their ability to communicate with their horse.
Gamblers Stakes is a fun class where riders have a set amount of time to accumulate as many points as possible by jumping designated obstacles. The obstacles have different point values, and riders strategise their course to maximise their points.
At Roydvale Pony Club, we strive to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for riders of all ages and levels. We offer two types of memberships: Youth Rider for those under 25 years old, and HorseMaster for adults ages 18 and above.
Our club operates under the constitution of The New Zealand Pony Club Association and is a branch of the Christchurch Pony Club. To become a member, interested individuals need to complete a membership form and pay the annual fee.
We encourage new members to register their interest and attend a trial rally. Our rally times and dates are typically on the 2nd and 4th Sunday mornings from February to November. After the trial rally, interested individuals can apply for membership and our Treasurer will assist them with the final stages of payment.
In addition to regular rallies, we also organise 2-3 public events each year. These events include the Waitangi Day Show Jumping, Jumping Event, and ODE 80 cm/95 cm/105 cm. These events provide opportunities for riders to showcase their skills, compete, and have fun.
For more information, updates, and news, you can visit our website and social media pages. We strive to provide a fun and educational experience for all members, and we look forward to welcoming new riders to our club.
