Royston Taekwon-Do is a martial arts school located in Royston, New Zealand. It is a member of the Unified Taekwon-Do Association and is owned and operated by Dr. Jonathan Marshall, a highly experienced 5th Dan International Instructor and Grading Examiner.
The school offers a wide range of classes suitable for all age groups and skill levels. One of their popular programmes is the Little Dragons class, designed for children aged 4–7 years. These classes run on Tuesdays from 4:00-4:45 pm and 5:00-5:45 pm, and on Thursdays from 5:00-5:45 pm. The Little Dragons class focuses on developing coordination, discipline, and confidence in a fun and supportive environment.
For the main school, classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The timings are as follows: 6:30-7:15 pm, 7:15-8:00 pm on Tuesdays; and 6:00-6:45 pm, 6:45-7:30 pm on Thursdays. These classes cater to adults and teenagers, providing comprehensive training in Taekwon-Do techniques, self-defence, and physical fitness. Students of all abilities are welcome, whether they are beginners or advanced practitioners.
Royston Taekwon-Do operates out of the King James Academy in Royston, offering a spacious and fully equipped training facility. The location is easily accessible and provides a safe and conducive environment for learning and practising martial arts.
Being part of the Unified Taekwon-Do Association, Royston Taekwon-Do follows a structured grading system, allowing students to progress and achieve higher ranks as they develop their skills and knowledge.
