Before joining Ruach Karate Ltd, some students struggled with low self-esteem. Through dedicated training, they have gained confidence, mastered self-defence techniques, and improved both physically and mentally. Under Sensei Lloyd Birt’s expert guidance, students have found karate to be a life-changing practice.

Sensei Lloyd Birt, a highly skilled and experienced instructor, leads the training sessions, teaching the principles and techniques of Shotokan Karate. This method, known for its non-aggressive self-defence focus, instils values such as discipline, respect, and resilience. His commitment to character development ensures that students don’t just learn karate; they learn important life skills.

Ruach Karate Ltd believes karate extends beyond physical fitness and self-defence to character building and unlocking potential. Students practise in a collaborative and safe environment where politeness, good manners, and decision-making skills are paramount. The emphasis is on building self-confidence, self-respect, and respect for others.

The training sessions at Ruach Karate Ltd provide a full-body workout, engaging over 600 muscles and burning over 1000 calories per session. The benefits include improved core strength, posture, and flexibility. Especially for children, karate helps with hand-eye coordination, memory, focus, socialisation, goal setting, speed, agility, and balance. This training has also positively impacted academic performance for many students.

Safety remains a top priority, providing a family-friendly atmosphere where students can thrive. Parents are welcome to train alongside their children, offering quality time and shared experiences unique to karate training. The club welcomes individuals of all abilities, starting from the age of four. All one needs to start is comfortable workout attire and a small drink of water.
