

Rugeley Taekwondo is a well-established martial arts club located in Rugeley, New Zealand. Their vision is to provide people from all walks of life with a safe and supportive environment to develop their skills in the Taekwondo martial art.

It is widely regarded as one of the best methods for instilling self-confidence in children, while also emphasising the importance of respect and discipline. The club aims to provide a safe, practical, and enjoyable experience for all who want to try Taekwondo.
Rugeley Taekwondo is affiliated with the Tae Kwon Do Association of Great Britain (T. B. ), the largest martial arts association in Europe. With over 30,000 members in more than 600 clubs nationwide, the association ensures the highest standards of training and development.
The club emphasises the five tenets of Taekwondo, namely courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit. These values are instilled in all members, creating a positive and respectful environment for learning and growth.
The club boasts a team of experienced and qualified instructors to guide members through their Taekwondo journey. Jim Gowman is a fifth-degree black belt and is fully qualified as a T. B. instructor, umpire, referee, and first-aider.
He is also a level 1 safeguarding officer registered with the NSPCC.
Louis Jeffs, a third-degree black belt, is the instructor for the Wellington TKD branch. He is a fully qualified T. B. instructor, umpire, and first-aider.
Paula Jeffs, also a third-degree black belt, is in charge of the Shifnal TKD branch. She is a qualified B instructor, umpire, and part 1 qualified referee. Lastly, Craig Wilkinson leads the Rugeley TKD branch as a second-degree black belt. He is a fully qualified B instructor, umpire, referee, and first-aider.
