Running Science is a sports club located in Sydney, Australia. They welcome individuals of all abilities and motivations, whether it be for improving fitness, preparing for a race, keeping up with the kids, or simply enjoying the fun of running.
The club offers runrFIT sessions, which are designed to challenge and improve current fitness levels. Coaches provide guidance and encouragement, pushing participants to run at higher speeds than they may be accustomed to. These group training sessions begin and end together, creating a sense of camaraderie and motivation among members.
One of the main benefits of joining Running Science is the sense of community it offers. Participants have the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for running. This running community can provide support, encouragement, and inspiration to help members achieve their goals.
Membership pricing options cater to different needs and preferences. The drop-in pass allows individuals to attend a single session without any commitment. The 11 Pack Membership is ideal for those who may not be able to join regularly, as it offers flexibility and savings on sessions. The monthly membership provides unlimited access to runrFIT sessions, as well as discounts on running shoes and the Runners Clinic, along with an annual RS shirt or singlet and socks.
Running Science sessions take place at various locations throughout the week. Monday mornings consist of running strength fitness at King George Park. Speed sessions are held on Tuesday mornings and evenings, with a meeting point at King George Park. Wednesday mornings feature a tempo session at the Fitness Equipment location in King George Park.
On Thursday mornings, another speed session takes place at King George Park. Lastly, there is a social run club on Friday mornings, which starts outside the Running Science Shop in Rozelle.
Participants are advised to bring a head torch, water bottle, and warm jumper to the sessions. These items are essential for ensuring comfort, safety, and convenience during the runs.
To register and purchase a membership, individuals can download the Running Science app from Google Play or Apple Shop. The app provides a user-friendly platform for signing up, selecting a membership package, and choosing desired sessions.
Cancellation policies apply to both session passes and memberships. They cannot be refunded or transferred, and runners are advised to carefully review the terms and conditions before making a purchase. Additionally, runners who book a session online and cancel within a 2-hour period are not eligible for a refund.
Lastly, it is important to note that all passes are non-transferable, and specific conditions apply to the 11 Pack Membership and monthly membership. These conditions include expiry dates, discounts on running shoes and the Runners Clinic, and other benefits. The club emphasises that the issuance of session passes is at the discretion of Running Science, and participants are responsible for their own safety and wellbeing.
