Since 2015, the Salisbury Minor Basketball Association, known locally as Salisbury Petitcodiac Basketball, has been shaping young athletes in Salisbury Petitcodiac, New Brunswick. This non-profit is on a mission to cultivate community-first basketball players, guiding them to higher athletic levels and greater accomplishments in the sport. Paul Thompson, the driving force behind the association, believes in showing kids they can compete with anyone through heart, hard work, and belief in themselves and their teammates.
Players, get ready! Registration for the new season kicks off in early September. The 2021-2022 season promises to be our biggest yet, with a steady rise in both player and volunteer numbers year over year—a testament to our community’s passion for basketball.
None of this would be possible without our amazing sponsors. Our executive team—Rob Campbell (President), Sarah Colwell (Vice President), Jonathan Spiritts (Secretary), Stephanie Short (Treasurer), and Tricia Friars and Emily Walls (Marketing/Community Involvement)—work tirelessly to keep us running smoothly.
Our teams have proudly earned silver and bronze in provincial tournaments, a testament to the hard work and dedication of our players. Beyond the medals, we pride ourselves on our players' personal growth and community involvement. And it starts young, with our Jr Puppy and Puppy programs, where the youngest players get a fun, supportive introduction to the sport, guided by volunteers, provincial coaches, and older players.
Thanks to the unwavering enthusiasm and dedication of the Salisbury Petitcodiac community, the Salisbury Minor Basketball Association stands tall as a symbol of basketball excellence and community spirit. Join us and be part of something special.
