Saltcote Sailing Club, located on the north bank of the picturesque river Blackwater in Maldon, is a small club with a focus on simplicity and affordability. The club boasts 45 drying moorings situated in front of the clubhouse. Additionally, dinghy racks and storage ashore are available for members with dinghies, canoes, and wind-surfers. The club even provides a club dinghy for members to row out to their moorings. The launching slip and floating pontoon allow for hassle-free boat launchings, with water available for two hours on either side of high tide.

At the end of the season, yachts can be winched up the slip on yard or road trailers, with experienced members on hand to ensure safety.

With a Saltcote Sailing Club membership, members can enjoy the comfortable clubhouse, complete with tea and coffee making facilities. Ample car parking is provided, as well as key-controlled toilets and changing room facilities. The club also offers various membership options, including individual, joint, family, and even student memberships for those over 18 and in full-time education.

For boat launchings, members are required to schedule their launch date at least seven days in advance to avoid overcrowding. Additionally, the club has recently installed new vertical kayak racks, available for rent at an affordable yearly fee of 25. These racks are situated above the spring high tide mark and can accommodate multiple vessels depending on size.
