The Indigenous peoples and the British Crown. San Healing Arts honours and respects the Mikmaq People as the traditional custodians of this land.
San Healing Arts is a unique wellness centre located in Dartmouth, offering a combination of acupuncture and martial arts services. Led by experienced acupuncturist Henry Claflin, the clinic provides safe and effective treatments for a variety of health conditions, with a special focus on chronic pain, insomnia, mental health, integrative cancer care, womens health, mens health, and pediatrics.
In addition to acupuncture, San Healing Arts also offers Taiji Quan (Tai Chi Chuan) classes and Qi Gong sessions. These martial arts and meditation practices are deeply rooted in a philosophy of non-violence, inner strength, and health. Taiji Quan and Qi Gong not only improve physical balance, strength, and mental focus, but also promote relaxation and overall well-being.
The clinic is dedicated to providing holistic, natural healthcare that is both safe and effective. The team at San Healing Arts believes in the power of acupuncture and Tai Chi to help individuals achieve internal balance and external harmony, ultimately supporting their health and wellness. As such, they are committed to promoting these practices as integral components of holistic health in the present and future.
San Healing Arts also values the importance of acknowledging the land on which they operate. Situated in Mikmaki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mikmaq People, the clinic recognizes the significance of the Treaties of Peace and Friendship signed between the Mikmaq and Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) People and the British Crown. By honouring and respecting the Indigenous peoples as the traditional custodians of the land, San Healing Arts demonstrates its commitment to fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect.
