A safe and comfortable environment. We offer group lessons for children aged 4 years and above, with a maximum class size of 4 students per teacher. This allows for personalised attention and ensures that each child receives proper instruction and guidance in the water.

Our pool, which was built and opened by Sarah Bates in May 2016, is specifically designed for children's swimming lessons. It measures 20m × 5m and has a depth of 1. 2m. The pool features sensory lighting, creating a calming and soothing atmosphere for young learners.

Additionally, we have a Sonos sound system that enhances the overall experience of the lessons.

For parents and spectators, we have comfortable benches around the poolside where you can watch your children's lessons. We also have The Coffee Room, which offers a prime view of the poolside. You can enjoy a coffee or a milkshake while observing your child's progress in the water.

At Sarah Bates School of Swimming, our main aim is to teach children valuable swimming skills that can potentially save their lives in case of danger in the water. Sarah Bates herself has over 30 years of teaching experience in the Nottingham and Derbyshire areas. She established her own swim school over 20 years ago and has been widely recognised for her expertise. Sarah was nominated for the ASA Swimming Teacher of the Year Award and reached the finals, ultimately being awarded the Bronze. This achievement solidifies her as one of the top three swimming instructors in the United Kingdom.
