About
Harry Jones, the organiser behind Schools Aba in Watchet, Somerset, wanted to send a quick note to the sports community. Established back in 1922, this kickboxing school has a long-standing tradition in the sport and is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive space for everyone, regardless of age or skill level.
Schools Aba focuses on discipline and technique, aiming to boost confidence, self-defence skills, and physical fitness. They offer a structured programme with Bronze, Silver, and Gold awards tailored for school-age boxers. Students can choose between “Non Contact Boxing” for training, “SABA Skillspars” for a technical approach without aggression, or “Contact Boxing” for those aiming for competition.
The school’s team of experienced and qualified instructors are passionate about kickboxing and keen to help students reach their goals. Whether you're eyeing professional competition or just want to keep fit in a fun way, there’s something for you at Schools Aba.
Harry is also proud of how Schools Aba has helped get kickboxing recognised as an assessed activity at AS and A level in Physical Education. It's a great way to offer an exciting alternative to traditional sports and tackle child obesity.
If you’re interested in joining the Schools Aba community, just fill out the online inquiry form on their website. One of their team will get back to you with more details. Harry and the team at Schools Aba are committed to providing a positive and inclusive environment for all aspiring kickboxers.
