Are you the owner of Scott Taekwon-do?
Scott Taekwon-do, located in Calgary, has been teaching the art and sport of Taekwon-do since 1993, marking its 30th anniversary in 2023. Founded by Robert Scott, the Taekwon-do school is a not-for-profit society dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive environment for individuals of all ages, genders, and ethnicities to learn and practice Taekwon-do.
The mission of Scott Taekwon-do is to promote physical fitness, health, self-defence, self-confidence, sport, friendship, and moral culture through the dynamic art of Taekwon-do. The society aims to communicate the principles of 'Courtesy', 'Integrity', 'Perseverance', 'Self-Control', and 'Indomitable Spirit' to its members. The vision of Scott Taekwon-do is to combine physical health and moral culture in its training programs to develop strong and confident individuals within the community.
Scott Taekwon-do offers a variety of classes for different age groups, including the Lil' Kickers program designed to introduce children to the basic concepts of Taekwon-do. With locations in Capitol Hill and Banff Trail, the school provides class schedules that cater to different age groups and skill levels. Registrations for the 2023/24 season are now open, and interested individuals can sign up online to secure a spot in their preferred class.
As part of its community involvement, Scott Taekwon-do actively participates in community activities, events, and charities through its volunteer committee. The society aims to expand its membership and continue promoting the values of Taekwon-do in Calgary and beyond.
