The North Burleigh Surf Life Saving Club is excited to invite children and young people with physical and mental challenges to join the Seahorse Nipper Program. This special inclusive program is designed to provide a safe and supportive environment for participants to learn about the beach, socialise, and enhance their confidence in the water.
The Seahorse Nippers program takes place once a month from September to May. Selected Saturday mornings will be filled with flag races, swimming, and board skills, all under the watchful eyes of our dedicated volunteers. You'll find the program marked by our iconic red and yellow flags, ensuring a safe and happy experience for everyone involved.
Our main goal is to offer a fun and educational learning experience while promoting beach safety awareness. Participants will not only improve their swimming skills but also develop their motor skills and gain confidence in navigating the beach and wave zones.
Our team of passionate volunteers also doubles as mentors and buddies for the participants. They are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment, where every child feels valued and empowered. Some participants may even have opportunities to integrate into our main Nippers program, offering a chance to further develop their skills and be part of a larger community.
If you're interested in registering for the Seahorse Nipper Program or want to find out more information, please don't hesitate to reach out to us via the provided contact email address. We would be thrilled to have your child join us for this incredible program and help them experience the joy of the beach and the water.
