Welcome to Sejong Taekwondo – Browns Bay, a martial arts school located in Auckland, New Zealand. Our club is dedicated to teaching taekwondo and building character in our students, rather than focusing on fighting. With multiple locations across Auckland, including our headquarters in Browns Bay, we provide convenient access to our classes for people of all ages and skill levels.
At Sejong Taekwondo – Browns Bay, we offer a variety of class timetables to accommodate our students' busy schedules. Whether you're a beginner looking to learn the basics or an experienced practitioner aiming to improve your skills, our highly qualified instructors are here to guide you on your martial arts journey. We also offer grading opportunities for students to progress and challenge themselves as they gain expertise in taekwondo.
Our club takes great pride in producing Olympic athletes. Our head instructor, Master Jinkeun Oh, has an impressive track record, having served as the head coach of the New Zealand Taekwondo Olympic Team for multiple Olympic Games. With his guidance and expertise, our students have the opportunity to train and compete at the highest level.
In addition to our Browns Bay location, we have other branches in Mount Eden, Hamilton, and Southland. Each location operates independently, so please contact them directly for more information. Hobsonville Point Primary School is another location where we offer our classes.
At Sejong Taekwondo – Browns Bay, we prioritise courtesy, honesty, and self-control in our training. We believe in building not only physical strength and technique but also strong character and discipline. By instilling these values in our students, we aim to empower them and help them become well-rounded individuals.
To get to know our instructors better, we have a team of highly qualified professionals leading our classes. Grandmaster Oh, our head instructor, holds an 8th Dan Certificate and has numerous accolades in the world of taekwondo. He is also the president of Taekwondo New Zealand and the New Zealand Taekwondo Alliance.
Master Robin Cheong, another head instructor at our club, has an impressive resume as well. He has served as the national junior world team coach and has competed in various championships, including the Olympic Games.
