Senghenydd Bowls Club

Senghenydd Bowls Club is a well-established bowling club located in the County Borough of Caerphilly in Wales. The club was formed in 1925 by local shopkeepers who wanted to enjoy a game of bowls on Wednesday afternoons, when the shops closed early. Since then, the club has grown and now plays league matches on Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons.

Affiliated with various associations including the Welsh Bowling Association, South Glamorgan County Bowling Association, Cardiff and District Municipal Bowling Association, and the Rhymney Valley Bowling Association, Senghenydd Bowls Club participates not only in the leagues organised by these associations but also in the tournaments they hold. Additionally, the club organises its own internal competitions, ensuring that members have a busy and diverse season each year.

The bowling green of Senghenydd Bowls Club is located in the Welfare Park in Senghenydd. In 2016, the club started sharing the green with Tridwr Ladies Bowling Club after the closure of the bowling green in Abertridwr. This partnership has allowed both clubs to continue enjoying the sport and fostering a sense of community within the area.
