The Congleton Grizzlies Basketball Club is excited to announce their Senior Basketball Program! This program is perfect for anyone who wants to experience healthy competition, be a part of a welcoming family atmosphere, and have plenty of opportunities to play the game they love. No matter your experience level or ability, the program is designed to cater to everyone while still maintaining high expectations and fostering player development.
Led by top-quality coaches, each session promises to challenge participants and help them improve their skills. It's all about getting better and enjoying the game in every single session. Plus, the long-term goal of the program is to form an incredibly competitive men's team for North West competition.
The sessions themselves are carefully crafted to accommodate individuals with various experience levels. Each one includes team building exercises, skill development drills, and scrimmages to put your newfound knowledge into practice. Currently, sessions are held at the Congleton High School Sports Centre on Mondays from 8pm until 10pm. Alternatively, you can also join the sessions at Eaton Bank Academy on Wednesdays from 8pm until 9.30pm. Keep an eye out for future session announcements!
To book a session, simply download the GymCatch app and create a free account. Once you're all set up, search for “Congleton Grizzlies” and select your desired date and session from the calendar. Follow the easy instructions to complete your booking. If you encounter any issues during the process, don't hesitate to reach out to the club via their social media pages or email.
Please note that the senior sessions are open to players who are 16 years and older. This age restriction is in place for everyone's safety. We also combine our under 18s and seniors sessions to introduce young adults to the world of competitive basketball at an earlier stage.
In terms of payment, we offer a fantastic “try before you buy” policy. This means that your first session with us is completely free of charge. This gives you a chance to experience the program before committing to it. If you decide to continue attending, you can book and pay for sessions 2, 3, and 4 using the GymCatch app. However, please keep in mind that after the initial trial period, club membership will be required.
Speaking of membership, the annual club membership fee for this season is only £25! This covers your membership from September 1st, 2023, to July 31st, 2024. If, for some reason, you join us after Christmas in 2023, you have the option of opting for a half-season membership priced at £15. Both of these membership options are one-time payments that grant you access to all the exciting opportunities and benefits of being a member of the Congleton Grizzlies Basketball Club.
