Mooroolbark Heights Tennis Club is delighted to invite tennis enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels to join their senior tennis competition, held every Saturday afternoon. As part of the Eastern Region Competitions, this event provides a fantastic opportunity for players to showcase their talents throughout the year, with both Summer and Winter competitions on offer. Not to worry, the club takes into consideration school and public holidays, so you won't miss out on the action.
For those looking for an extra challenge during Winter, we have a Pennant competition available. This offers a chance to test your skills against some formidable opponents, making for some exhilarating matches. The senior competition consists of two main formats: Doubles and Singles/Doubles. With the Doubles format, teams will have four players, and each player will have the chance to play three doubles sets. Alternatively, the Singles/Doubles format allows for teams of four players, where each player will play one singles rubber (best of 3 sets) and one doubles set.
If you're a fan of Sunday afternoon tennis, we've got you covered during the Summer competition. Our Singles/Doubles Rubbers format, with two players per team, allows for a thrilling game of one singles rubber (best of 3 sets) and one doubles rubber (best of 3 sets).
When it comes to registration, we offer flexibility. For the Winter competition, registrations open around February/March, while for the Summer competition, they open in August/September. Whether you prefer joining an existing team or creating your own with friends, we encourage you to grab your rackets and hit the courts with us.
We understand that life can throw unexpected challenges our way, so we welcome individuals who are available as emergency players. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your talents when others may need a helping hand.
