Shifu Paul Yong Da Ahern, a disciple of Master Shifu Brett Xing Wu Russell, is the instructor at Shaolin Monk Martial Arts - Bondi. Following the teachings of Traditional Shaolin Kung Fu, Tai Chi, and Qi Gong, Shifu Paul aims to assist and strengthen each student's body and mind. Through the practise of these martial arts, students can develop self-confidence, inner peace, and happiness.
The lineage at Shaolin Monk Martial Arts - Bondi can be traced back through generations of Shaolin masters. 30th Generation Grand Master Shi SuXi, who devoted 70 years of his life to the Shaolin Temple, was revered for his knowledge and skill in both Martial Arts and Chan Buddhism. Great Master Shi De Fon, a disciple of Grand Master Shi SuXi, furthered his skills in Shaolin Kung Fu and Shaolin Medicine, and became an indoor disciple of Xu Gong Wei, a famous Chinese doctor and head instructor of Kung Fu for the Army. Master Shifu Brett Xing Wu Russell, instructed by Great Master Shi De Fon, gained worldwide recognition through his extensive training, teaching, and displays of Martial Arts.
Shifu Paul Yong Da Ahern, after training under Master Shifu Brett for over ten years, has fully immersed himself in Traditional Shaolin Temple Kung Fu. Initially practising to strengthen his body and enhance his surfing abilities, Paul became completely hooked and dedicated himself to the martial art. With his discipleship completed, Shifu Paul now shares his passion and knowledge with his students at Shaolin Monk Martial Arts - Bondi.
