Welcome to Shining Stars School of Dance & Performing Arts, a leading dance school based in Stockport, Cheshire. Shining Stars offers comprehensive dance classes for toddlers, children, teens, and adults, with a focus on developing the full potential of every student regardless of experience or physical capability.

Led by principal Miss Claire, a fully qualified dance instructor with extensive experience, Shining Stars prides itself on providing a safe, friendly, and fun environment for students to explore the world of music and dance. Miss Claire's background as a qualified nursery nurse perfectly blends her skills and experience in providing preschool dance tuition.

The school offers a wide range of classes including ballet, tap, modern jazz, gymnastic dance, contemporary dance, street/hip hop, and musical theatre. Classes are available on Saturdays for children aged 2 years 9 months to 10 years, and on Wednesdays and Thursdays for various age groups and adults. Shining Stars encourages students to wear uniform dancewear, which can be conveniently purchased at competitive prices from the school.

Shining Stars School of Dance works towards a show every other year, allowing students to showcase their skills and talents on stage. Additionally, children aged 6 years and above have the opportunity to work towards exams and medals, which enhance their dance technique and boost their self-esteem and confidence. However, participation in exams and medals is not compulsory, and the school's primary aim is for all students to enjoy learning to dance and performing.

Located at Studio 2 Unit 36 Chadkirk Business Park, Romiley, Shining Stars School of Dance & Performing Arts is open to all children. The comfortable waiting area offers teas, coffees, and snacks for parents and guardians. The dedicated team at Shining Stars includes Miss Jennifer, a ballet and contemporary dance teacher, Mrs. Gandy, a class assistant and administration staff, and several class assistants including Miss Gemma, Miss Sophie, and Cathy.

Principal Claire Gandy has been a dancer for over 30 years and has been teaching dance for the past 20 years, holding teaching qualifications in ballet, tap dancing, and modern dance. She is a member of the Association of American Dancing and the National Association of Teachers of Dancing.
