Jamie, the organiser of Shooting Stars Archery Club, would like to extend a warm invitation to the sports community. Located in Telford, Shropshire, Shooting Stars has been active since 1974. After several name changes, the club is pleased to reaffirm its roots in Telford and welcome archery enthusiasts of all levels.
Jamie and the club are dedicated to promoting archery and actively engage with the community. Membership fees fund various activities, events, and community initiatives in Telford. The club offers “Have-a-go” and taster sessions to introduce newcomers to archery, held both indoors and outdoors, adhering to World Archery policies.
For those seeking a unique experience, the club also provides team-building and fun sessions, tailored to meet specific requirements. To request more information or book a session, individuals can contact the club through their website's contact page.
Since 19 December 2022, Shooting Stars Archery Club has operated independently and is not currently affiliated with Archery GB. The club is open to collaborating with other independent clubs for competitions or participating in an independent league. Interested clubs can reach out via the website.
During the winter months, the club holds indoor sessions on Sundays from 3 pm to 6 pm at Telford College. As the weather improves, outdoor sessions commence from 12 pm to 6 pm starting from 2 April. Venue details are available on the club’s contact page.
For beginners, the club offers a comprehensive six-hour beginners' course, spread across two Sundays. Application forms can be downloaded from the website and submitted via email or in person. Payment details are provided on the application form, and full payment is due before the course begins.
Course fees are £30 for adults (over 18 years old) and £15 for juniors (under 18 years old). From 1 February 2023, the club requests that cash payments are not made without prior agreement.
Jamie and the team at Shooting Stars Archery Club look forward to welcoming you, whether you are a beginner or an experienced archer. The club prides itself on providing a supportive environment and a range of opportunities to enjoy the sport of archery.
