Milford Bowling Club, located in Godalming, is thrilled to offer Short Mat Milford Short Mat Bowls, a fantastic activity that takes place during the off-season of outdoor bowls. From September to April, players can enjoy the excitement of short mat bowls at our club.
Within the clubhouse, we have two short mats where we organise a range of thrilling events. Our members can look forward to engaging league games, friendly matches, and roll-up practice sessions. On Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons from 2pm to 4.30pm, as well as Thursday evenings from 7pm to 9.30pm (except on league game days), we welcome players to join us for some fun-filled roll-ups.
Don't worry if you've never played short mat bowls before! Our sessions are open to everyone, regardless of their previous experience or knowledge of bowls. We even provide bowls for borrowing if needed. It's the perfect opportunity to come and give this exciting sport a try.
At Milford Bowling Club, we prioritise the growth and development of our players. During our short mat bowls sessions, participants can expect to improve their skills as they learn essential techniques and tactical strategies. We also offer coaching sessions for both new and experienced players, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to enhance their abilities.
But that's not all! In addition to our regular sessions, we actively participate in various leagues and competitions across the local and regional level. For example, we take part in the SHAB league, Merrow League, Surrey Two Wood Triples, and Woking Borough League. Our friendly matches against other clubs are always a highlight.
We're proud to share that in 2022, our hard work paid off as we emerged victorious in the Merrow League after an exhilarating final game against Normandy. This achievement showcases the commitment and dedication of our talented players.
For those seeking even more excitement and opportunities, we encourage you to register for the ESMBA. This will grant you the chance to enter Surrey and/or National competitions and, if you're up for the challenge, explore the possibility of joining one of the County Squads.
