Shukokai Karate Federation

Field of Karate, he always remained humble and dedicated to the art. Shihan Daniels founded the Shukokai Karate Federation (SKF) in 1980, with the aim of promoting and developing the traditional martial art of Kimura Shukokai Karate.

Currently, the SKF is led by Sensei Solfrid Daniels, 7th Dan, who is the wife of the late Shihan Eddie Daniels, and Sensei Clem Braithwaite, 7th Dan, who was Shihan Daniels' most senior student. They are supported by experienced instructors such as Sensei Keith Cockburn, Sensei Audun Daniels, and Sensei Paul Richards, all of whom hold a 7th Dan.

The SKF has gained a strong reputation for producing students and instructors of the highest standards. While sport is only a part of their organisation, they have consistently produced National and International Champions in both Kumite and Kata within Shukokai and All-Styles.

Being a part of the SKF offers numerous benefits. Members have access to the Kimura Shukokai International (KSI) World & European Championships, as well as regular KSI International and SKF Domestic Courses/Seminars. The SKF also provides training opportunities for the National Squad, both for juniors and seniors, and holds its own Domestic Championships and Grading Examinations.

Additionally, SKF members have access to EKF National Team/WKF Sanctioned Competitions, as well as Referee & Judges Courses and Qualifications. The organisation prides itself on teaching the true art of Kimura Shukokai Karate through its highly ranked Senior Instructors. Joining the SKF allows individuals to gain confidence, self-belief, respect, and fitness.

Safety is a top priority for the SKF. All instructors are fully Enhanced DBS (Criminal Records Bureau) checked, and all dojos are recognised and accredited by Safeguarding in Martial Arts Code. Furthermore, all SKF students are covered by Full Members Insurance.
