The Silver Springs Pump Track, located in Calgary, was constructed in the spring of 2021 and had its unofficial opening on July 1, 2021. Due to Covid restrictions, the official Grand Opening was delayed until now! The long-awaited Grand Opening Event will take place on June 25, 2022, from 12-3 PM, coinciding with the Hello Summer BBQ event. The whole family is invited to join in the fun, with a silent auction featuring themed baskets to raise funds for the Silver Springs Pump Track.
The Grand Opening Ceremony will include a ribbon-cutting at the Pump Track, demo bike riders showcasing their skills, and the opportunity for the public to ride on the Pump Track. Minor bike repairs will also be available onsite at the Bike Tent, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the track to the fullest. The Silent Auction will close bids on June 27, 2022, allowing the highest bidder to take home the themed baskets. Donations for the auction can be dropped off at the SSCA office until June 21, 2022.
The Pump Track is now open to the public, and users are requested to respect others and enjoy responsibly. The track was made possible by the dedicated Pump Track Sub-Committee, SSCA Board and Office, City of Calgary, local corporate donors, volunteers, and community support.
