Silverstream Swim Academy

Silverstream Swim Academy is a swimming school located in Upper Hutt, New Zealand. With a dedicated team of experienced instructors, we offer a range of swimming programmes for children of all ages and abilities.

Our Aquatots programme is designed for children aged 4 months to 3. 5 years. With a maximum of 8 children per class, parents or caregivers are required to accompany the little ones in the water, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Aquatots 1 caters to babies aged 4 months to 1.

5 years, while Aquatots 2 is for children aged 1. 5 to 2. 5 years. Aquatots 3 is designed for children aged 2.

5 to 3. 5 years.

For preschool-aged children, we offer small group classes with a maximum of 4 students per class. Our Pre-School programme consists of four levels: Beginners, Confident, Swimming, and Advanced. These classes focus on building water confidence, learning to submerge, floating on front and back, and developing kicking and breathing techniques.

For school-aged children aged 5 years and above, we offer small group classes with a maximum of 4 students per class. Our School Age programme consists of eight levels, starting from Beginners and progressing to Freestyle, Improving Technique, and Improving Distance. These classes focus on water confidence, submersion, floating, kicking, stroking, and breathing techniques.

Additionally, we offer a Mini Squad programme that prepares children for school swimming sports and club swimming. This programme provides a bridge between our regular swimming lessons and competitive swimming.

In addition to our regular term-based programmes, we also offer Intensive Holiday Programmes during school holidays. These programmes consist of daily 45-minute lessons for school-aged children and 30-minute lessons for preschool-aged children. By practising swim skills on a daily basis, children can accelerate their learning and progress more quickly.

Silverstream Swim Academy also offers birthday parties and pool hire options. The pool, along with play equipment, tables, chairs, and a pool deck supervisor, can be hired on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 2 pm onwards. This is an ideal option for past and current clients who want to celebrate their special occasions in a fun and aquatic environment.
