Operating hours for Skate100 are from dawn to dusk, with floodlights switching off at 10pm. Visitors are encouraged to prioritise safety by wearing appropriate clothing, including safety helmets, gloves, arm and leg protection, and long trousers. It is crucial to skate within one's own capabilities and ensure that the equipment is in proper working order.
Skaters should also consider the well-being of others at the facility, refraining from consuming gum, food, or drinks on the skate surface. Additionally, no electrical devices are permitted within the skate park, such as electric scooters, hoverboards, and electric bikes. Adult supervision is recommended for skaters younger than 10 years old, and skating alone is discouraged.
Visitors are reminded to adhere to certain rules and guidelines while using the facility. They should respect the queue and avoid snaking, waiting their turn on the ramp. Being aware of other users is crucial, with constant checks for other skaters behind them. It is advised to stand back from the edge of ramps while waiting and avoid sitting or cutting across the bottom of ramps or riding in from the side.
Belongings should be kept at the side and not on the ramps or obstacles.
Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council, which oversees the skate park, cannot accept responsibility for personal injury or damage to equipment caused by using the facility. First aid services are available at the Valley Leisure Centre during opening hours, and emergencies should be reported by calling 999.
