About
Hey sports community,
Jordan, your trusted organizer, asked to share an update about Lansdowne Park's skating court in Ottawa. The rink is a favourite spot for ice skating, available daily from 7 am to 11 pm, weather permitting. You can get your skates sharpened or rent them at the Final Pass Skate Shop. They’ve also got options for group and party rentals if you're planning something special.
Jordan reminds everyone to follow the rules for a safe experience. No wheelchairs, strollers, or roller sports on the ice. Use the rink at your own risk, just like anywhere else.
For those into roller sports, Lansdowne Park has programs on select days from January through March. The schedule changes weekly, so check the Lansdowne Park website for details and to reserve your spot.
Lansdowne isn’t just about skating. They host events year-round, with venues like Aberdeen Pavilion and the Horticulture Building. There’s also a civic garden, water plaza, children's play area, skate park, and of course, the skating court. The park is open daily from 5 am to 11 pm for public use.
Getting there is straightforward. You can take transit, drive, bike, or walk. For big events at TD Stadium, Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group offers travel options. Redblacks ticket holders can take advantage of the park and shuttle service on game days.
Jordan wants to make sure everyone knows that Lansdowne Park is a top spot for both ice skating and roller sports in Ottawa. Whether you’re there for a casual skate, a program, or an event, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
See you out there!
Best,
Jordan
