About
Aoife, the founder of Skilful Living Yoga Classes, is a Yoga instructor and Life coach based in Dublin. With a passion for movement and a belief that how we move impacts every part of our lives, Aoife aims to help her students connect mind with body and move more skilfully.
Having practised yoga for over 15 years, Aoife completed her 200-hour teacher training in 2012 and started teaching in 2015. She continued her education by completing a 500-hour training with the Yoga Rooms, Dublin in 2021, focusing on Yoga for Trauma, Restorative Yoga, and Yoga Nidra.
Aoife's teaching style has evolved over the years to blend strength and balance, supporting and promoting healing. She has a particular interest in The Bowspring, a biomechanical process that supports optimal postural alignment for balanced movement. Drawing from her own experience of recovering quickly from a broken leg following a horse riding accident, Aoife emphasises the importance of regular yoga movement training in minimising injuries.
Beyond yoga, Aoife is passionate about tennis, horse riding, and the great outdoors. When she's not on the mat, you can find her on a mountain, on a court, or walking her dog Ivy. This love for movement and nature informs her coaching practise, where she works with clients in areas of career, change, and work-life balance.
At Skilful Living Yoga Classes, Aoife offers group classes at Glenageary Lawn Tennis Club and one-to-one beginner classes.
