About

Team, you will need to complete a Police Vetting Form. You can find the form on the NZR website and follow their instructions on how to submit it. This step is necessary to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our rugby kids.

2. COACH REGISTRATION: Once you have completed the police vetting process, it's time to register as a coach. If you were a coach in 2023, keep an eye out for an email invite to register. If you're a new coach, head over to your club or school website and look for the coach registration page. Fill out the online form and you're good to go.

Now let's talk about the Small Blacks Coaching Workshops. These workshops are a must for all coaches and assistant coaches who want to work with our junior rugby players. They will be facilitated by CMRFU and aligned with the 3 player developmental stages.

For Beginning grades (Y1 (U6) & Y2 (U7)), the workshop will be held on Saturday 6th April at 9.30am, hosted by Bombay RFC. If you're coaching these young ones, this is the workshop for you.

For Learning grades (Y3 (U8) –Y6 (U11)), mark your calendars for Saturday 13th April at 9.30am. The workshop will take place at Manurewa RFC. This is a great opportunity to enhance your coaching skills for these growing athletes.

If you're coaching in the Playing grades (Y7 (U12) – Y8 (U13)), your workshop will be on Wednesday 10th April at 6.30pm. Navigation Homes Stadium in Pukekohe is the place to be on that day.

And for those who will be coaching girls only Rippa, we've got you covered too. CMRFU will be running a 'Coaching Girls Rippa Workshop' before the season starts. We're still finalising the date and venue, so stay tuned for more details.

Remember, registration starts 30 minutes before the workshop's start time. Make sure you're registered 15 minutes prior, so we can kick off promptly. Don't forget to bring water, wear appropriate coaching attire, and a jacket in case of rain. Let's be prepared for any weather.

Thank you for your dedication to our sport and the Patumahoe Rugby Football Club. Your commitment to our community and the development of our young players is truly appreciated. By attending these workshops and completing the necessary registrations, you're making a positive impact on the future of rugby. Let's make this season a memorable one!
