The Skiing club at Porters Ski Field in Castle Hill, New Zealand is thrilled to announce the upcoming Snowboard Programme for beginners aged 11-16 years. The programme will take place at Porters Sun kid Carpet and Platter Lift, providing a safe and fun environment for youth to learn the fundamentals of snowboarding.
Participants will start by learning crucial skills such as stopping, turning, and speed control before advancing to more challenging terrains with the platter and chairlift. The instructors at Porters Ski Field will focus on helping young snowboarders get comfortable on the snow, perfecting their movements, using edges effectively, and safely coming to a stop.
The goal of the programme is to not only teach snowboarding skills but also to ensure a memorable and enjoyable winter experience on the mountain. Participants will have the opportunity to practice using different ski lifts and learn proper exiting techniques under the guidance of experienced instructors.
For those who have no prior experience with snowboarding, this programme serves as an excellent introduction to the exhilarating world of winter sports. Starting at level 1, participants will progress from basic movements to confidently navigating the platter area, setting the foundation for a lifelong passion for snowboarding.
