The Brisbane Dance Theatre, a local Contemporary Dance club located in Coorparoo, is excited to announce the upcoming Social Performance Troupe at The Wiggles World of Dance. This program is specifically tailored for dancers aged 7 and above who have a deep passion for dancing and a strong desire to perform on stage more frequently.
The Social Performance Troupe provides a unique platform for dancers to showcase their talent beyond the annual end-of-year concert. It offers a fantastic opportunity without the pressure of dance competitions. Participants in the Troupe will have access to a wide range of classes and workshops aimed at enhancing their performance skills and taking their dance abilities to new heights.
To become a member of the Troupe, dancers must also enrol in recreational classes that are suitable for their respective age groups. These classes, combined with a special Friday afternoon session during the school term, are offered at a discounted rate to all Troupe members. As an added bonus, there are additional recreational classes available at discounted rates as well.
The benefits of being a part of the Social Performance Troupe go beyond regular dance classes. Participants will also have the exclusive opportunity to attend Hair & Stage Make Up Workshops guided by industry professionals, ensuring they are stage-ready and looking their absolute best. Furthermore, throughout the year, Troupe members will have the chance to participate in discounted workshops led by guest teachers and speakers, broadening their dance knowledge and skills.
Applications for the 2024 Social Performance Troupe must be submitted no later than Monday, January 8th. Successful applicants will commence their group routine training on Friday, January 12th, from 9am to 12noon.
