About

Sons of the Thames Rowing Club, based just upstream of Hammersmith Bridge, is a top spot for rowing in London. Offering a prime view of the Championship course, members not only train and race with dedication but also enjoy a lively social scene. At the helm, Henry Hogan, Harry Vardigans, and Tinashe Mandimika lead the Senior race squad with a well-structured training programme that fits around your busy life. Weekly ergs and weights are flexible to suit your schedule.

Training sessions are held every Saturday and Sunday morning, with extra evening sessions as important races near. Whether you’re a seasoned rower or transitioning from a development squad, Sons of the Thames invites you to join. The annual fee for the race squad is £540, with a discounted £270 rate for students and Under 23s.

Beginners can join the Learn 2 Row course, held each summer, where professional coaches and experienced members support newcomers. Ideal for those aged 18-30 with a good fitness level, this is a fantastic entry into the club.

Members also enjoy access to the beautiful Linden House for boating, a venue known for special events. For more details or to join, visit their website or contact Sons of the Thames directly. Henry and his team look forward to welcoming you to their rowing community.
