The overall benefit of martial arts is discipline, confidence, coordination. Its good for balance, good for a healthy lifestyle and it teaches ethics and morals. It incorporates everything. Unfortunately, people look at the stereotypical martial artist whos going out for all these trophies or the medals.
We want them to see thats only a small fraction of what were doing. The whole goal is to create well-rounded people who can function in society and bring something else to the table, not just kicking and punching and medals. Trophies are good and theyre good for the kids confidence and motivation but, at the end of the day, its not the trophy that matters. Its your ability to live a life confidently and disciplined, Cornacchio said.
