The Soong Badminton Academy, located in Ottawa, is a well-established club dedicated to providing high-quality badminton training to players of all ages and skill levels. Founded by Janet and Dominic Soong, the academy has a long history of producing successful badminton athletes who have competed at the national and international levels.

With a team of experienced NCCP-certified coaches, the Soong Badminton Academy offers a variety of training programs including individual coaching, group lessons, and competitive training camps. The academy's coaching staff is committed to helping each player reach their full potential and achieve their badminton goals.

In addition to coaching, the Soong Badminton Academy provides racquet stringing services with expert stringers to ensure that players have the best equipment for their game. The academy is also known for hosting clinics, workshops, and events to promote the sport of badminton and foster a sense of community among players and coaches.

Dominic Soong, a highly respected coach with over 40 years of experience, was recently honoured by the Ottawa Sports Council with a Lifetime Coaching Award in recognition of his dedication to growing the sport of badminton in Ottawa and beyond. Under his leadership, the Soong Badminton Academy has become one of the largest and most successful junior badminton clubs in the country.

As Janet and Dominic transition into retirement, they look forward to continuing their involvement in badminton through ad hoc lessons, clinics, and leadership development opportunities. They are grateful for the support of their players, coaches, and the Ottawa badminton community over the years and are excited to enjoy some well-deserved quiet time and flexibility in their lives.
