Sorella Callisthenics Club is a not-for-profit sports club located in Cardinia Shire, Victoria. Founded in 2013 by sisters Carissa Cowell and Samantha Holt, the club boasts over 50 years of combined experience in the field of callisthenics. The word “Sorella” means “sisters” in Italian, and the club's name reflects the strong bond and unity that the founders have forged.
At Sorella Callisthenics, the emphasis is on providing a fun and nurturing environment where girls of all ages and skill levels can develop and challenge themselves. The club is dedicated to helping each pupil become the best they can be, with the assistance of qualified Level 1 coaches who are accredited with the Australian Sports Commission.
Callisthenics, a uniquely Australian team sport, is the focus of the club's training sessions. Pupils learn routines choreographed to music and have the opportunity to perform them on stage at competitions and concerts. This sport combines elements of dance, gymnastics, and theatrical presentation, providing a well-rounded experience for participants.
Sorella Callisthenics Club offers classes for a wide range of age groups, from Tinies/Subbies (ages 4-10) to Seniors (ages 17+). The classes are led by experienced coaches who are dedicated to helping each member develop essential skills, such as physical development, gross motor skills, social development, and cognitive development. Callisthenics is not only a great way to stay fit but also a fantastic opportunity to make lifelong friends and discover hidden talents.
The club also places a strong emphasis on policies to ensure the safety and well-being of its members. Policies such as the Privacy Policy, Member Protection Policy, Social Media Policy, Child Safe Policy, and Communication Policy are in place to uphold a secure and supportive environment for all participants.
Sorella Callisthenics Club is constantly striving to provide quality callisthenics to its members. With a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, the club encourages people of all ages and abilities, including mums and daughters, to join and experience the joys of callisthenics. Whether you're looking for a challenge, something fun, or simply want to try something new, Sorella Callisthenics Club is the place to be.
