Abilities. Located at Maypole Football Club in Yardley Wood, South Birmingham Archers is registered with the National Field Archery Society (NFAS) and offers a welcoming environment for beginners and experienced archers alike.

Beginners are welcome at South Birmingham Archers, with dedicated beginner times on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. All necessary equipment, including bows, arrows, arm guards, and gloves, are provided for the archery sessions. The club boasts qualified NFAS Archery Coaches who are dedicated to helping beginners learn and improve their skills.

Junior members enjoy a reduced annual membership fee of 30.

For those interested in trying archery before committing to a full membership, South Birmingham Archers offers taster sessions for 10 per person. However, beginners must complete a 6-week coaching course, which costs 50 per person, before they can join the club. Before the coaching course, beginners must also join the NFAS as Provisional Members, with a fee of 20 per individual or 40 for a family membership.

The membership fees collected by South Birmingham Archers are utilised to cover the cost of maintaining the facility and providing top-quality equipment. Any surplus funds are reinvested to improve the facilities or reduce future membership fees.
