Southcott Racing Ltd is a prestigious horse racing field located in Saxmundham, Suffolk. Established in 1965 by the chairman, Ian Southcott, the racing establishment has a long and successful history in the thoroughbred racing industry. Over the past 50 years, Southcott Racing has become known for breeding, racing, and selling racehorses, with many of their horses achieving group wins and being sold to influential figures worldwide.

The journey of Southcott Racing began with a change in direction for Ian Southcott, who refocused his passion from aeronautical industries to thoroughbred racing. The company quickly procured a beautiful thoroughbred named 'Swellegant', who became one of their most prominent foundation mares. Swellegant and her progeny went on to race and win all over the world, establishing Southcott Racing as a reputable and successful racing establishment.

In the following years, Southcott Racing expanded, incorporating Ladygrove and Thurston House Studs. These large operations furthered their success, producing a number of fine thoroughbreds that have brought glory to Southcott Racing. Some of their notable winners include Desert Sunset, Helms Deep, Jato, Ayunli, Swellegant, and Wise Son.

Currently, Southcott Racing is specialising in the racing of thoroughbred racehorses and aims to bring together a small group of people to share in the racing experience. With over 40 years of success in the industry, Ian Southcott carefully selects the horses for the Jubilee Syndicate, increasing the probability of success for all involved.

Looking towards the future, Southcott Racing has high hopes for a thoroughbred named Swell Song. This young horse is a vision from the past, reminiscent of her Great Grand Dam 'Jubilee Song'. With the successes of her past generations, Swell Song is expected to have a successful racing career and later become a valuable foundation brood mare.

Many of the horses at Southcott Racing have fascinating lineages and impressive achievements. Their Grey Filly Swellegant, owned by Ian Southcott and trained by W. Haggas, has participated in the Cheveley Park Stakes GP1. Racina, a well-known mare at Southcott Racing, has had successful offspring that have achieved significant wins.

One of her foals, named Sallal, was sold for over 300,000 as a yearling and has won multiple races under the training of A. Fabre in France.
