South East Netball Association

The South East Netball Association (SENA) is a sports club located in the Sorell Council area, offering various netball rosters and programmes. Their home base is at the South East Sports Complex at Pembroke Park in Sorell, Tasmania. SENA provides a wide range of opportunities for netball players of all ages and skill levels.

SENA offers several netball rosters, including a Ladies Social Roster and an After School roster for local schools in the community. They also have junior development programmes, namely Woolworths NetSetGO and Netta, catering to children aged 5 to 10. These programmes focus on introducing young players to netball in a fun and inclusive environment.

In addition to their local rosters and programmes, SENA competes in the Tasmanian Netball League. In 2023, the South East Suns will be participating in the league for the first time, with Under 19 and Opens teams. The teams are led by Head Coach Andrew Jackson and Marsha Batchelor, who bring their expertise to guide and develop the players.

SENA is also involved in the Southern Tasmanian Netball Association Winter Roster. They have teams ranging from Under 9 to leading League, allowing players of all ages to participate and compete in a structured league environment.

The club maintains an active presence on Facebook, where they share the latest news and events. They are proud to have the support of Bendigo Bank, one of Australia's largest and most trusted banks. Bendigo Bank's Community Bank branches have contributed nearly $300 million back into Australian communities, including support for community sport.
