Southern Suburbs Hockey Club Inc. is a sports club based in Rockhampton, Queensland. It was established in 1966 and has since become a prominent hockey club in the area.
The club offers a range of junior and senior grades for both men and women. The junior grades include mixed Under 5, Under 7, and Under 9, as well as Boys Under 12 and Under 15, and Girls J2 (Under 11) and J1 (Under 15). Training sessions for the junior grades take place on Wednesday afternoons, with Under 5 to Under 9 training from 4:15pm to 5:15pm, and Under 12 to Under 15 training from 5:00pm to 6:00pm.
For the senior grades, there are divisions A1, A2, and A3 for both men and women. Senior training sessions are held on Thursday evenings from 7:30pm to 9:30pm. Games are scheduled on various nights throughout the week, with A2 Men playing on Monday nights, A3 Women on Wednesday nights, A2 Women on Friday nights, and A3 Men on Saturday afternoons. A1 Men and Women have games on Saturday afternoons and evenings.
The club is known for its strong history and has been an integral part of the Rockhampton Hockey Association. They have achieved notable success over the years and continue to foster a love for hockey within the community.
