Over the years, the club grew and evolved, changing its name to Sparkhill Netball Club. The club became known for its vibrant orange kit and friendly atmosphere, welcoming players of all ages and skill levels. It developed strong ties to the local community and schools, providing opportunities for young players to develop their netball skills and grow their love for the sport.
Today, Sparkhill Netball Club boasts a total of ten teams, including six senior teams and four intermediate teams. The senior teams compete in the Birmingham Netball League in divisions 2, 5, 7, 8, 9, and 10, while the intermediate teams participate in the Birmingham Intermediate Netball League.
The club holds training sessions on Monday evenings at King Edward's Camp Hill School. The intermediate teams train from 6:00pm to 7:30pm, while the senior teams train from 7:30pm to 9:20pm. The club welcomes new players for the senior teams, although space in the intermediate teams is currently limited. Interested players are encouraged to reach out to the club for more information.
In addition to league play, Sparkhill Netball Club also participates in various events and tournaments. Recently, the intermediate teams took part in the Birmingham Intermediate Netball League, showcasing their skills and commitment to the sport. The club also entered two teams in the Summer Tournament organised by Net Set Go Birmingham, with the Sparkhill Orange team emerging as winners in the Silver Competition.
