Splash Stars

Is a highly acclaimed swimming programme in Bolton, offering lessons to children from birth to 11 years old. With a focus on teaching children to swim independently from their very first lesson, Splash Stars is dedicated to instilling effective strokes and vital life-saving skills in a fun and engaging environment.

At Splash Stars, every child is guided and assisted by highly trained water-based teachers who work closely with them to ensure they achieve their absolute best. The teaching standards are exceptional, with stringent recruitment processes ensuring that only the best teachers in the industry are chosen. Our staff undergo up to 45 hours of co-teaching, possess the highest qualifications, and receive ongoing support and training from our technical director. Additionally, our programmes are written and developed by our technical team, who specialise in child development, in collaboration with the STA (Swimming Teachers' Association), resulting in a comprehensive and effective swimming curriculum.

The lessons at Splash Stars are designed to be fun, focused, and progressive, with a child-led approach that cultivates a love and respect for the water. By utilising a range of classes catered to different age groups and abilities, Splash Stars ensures that every child can reach their full swimming potential. From the Twinkle Stars class for infants aged 0–7 months to the Level 5 StarAcademy class for children aged 4 and above, there is a suitable class for every child.

What sets Splash Stars apart is their emphasis on teaching without the use of restrictive floatation devices such as armbands and discs. This approach allows children to learn to swim correctly from the very beginning and build a strong foundation in swimming skills.

In terms of recognition, Splash Stars is proud to be a multi-award-winning swim school. They have received accolades such as the RLSS Bolton Active Sports Awards, where they were finalists in the Club Class of the Year category in both 2018 and 2017. They have also been recognised by the Bolton Mark Inclusion Award and the Bolton Council as an approved club. Additionally, Splash Stars was named the Children's Swimming Lesson Provider of the Year in the 2019 Manchester Prestige Awards and received the Provider of Children's Swimming Lessons and Greater Manchester Family and Visitor Attraction Awards in the 2019 Northern Enterprise Awards.
