Karen McGregor, the founder of Splash Start, wants to share some exciting updates with the sports community.
At Splash Start, children who are confident in swimming a distance of 10 metres on their front and back in a recognised stroke will refine their technique, build endurance, and learn skills such as diving and treading water. For those who can swim 25 metres in recognised strokes, the advanced classes will focus on perfecting stroke technique, further building endurance, and introducing more challenging skills like flips and turns.
Karen emphasises that the safety and well-being of each child are paramount. All classes occur in a friendly and supportive setting, led by experienced instructors who hold ASA (Amateur Swimming Association) qualifications. These instructors not only excel in teaching swimming skills but also genuinely enjoy working with children, helping them build water confidence.
Recognising that every child is unique, the instructors at Splash Start tailor lessons to each child's learning style and ability. This personalised approach ensures every child feels valued and supported throughout their swimming journey. Beyond swimming skills, Splash Start aims to instil a love for water and a lifelong passion for swimming. The programme covers stroke techniques, water confidence, safety skills, and fostering a positive attitude towards swimming.
Children earn progress booklets, badges, and certificates as they advance, providing recognition and motivation. Whether a beginner or an advanced swimmer, Splash Start offers classes to suit all ages and abilities, ensuring small class sizes for individual attention and effective learning. Instructors are in the water with the children, offering hands-on guidance and support, which helps build trust and comfort, making the learning experience enjoyable.
Karen is dedicated to providing a personal and professional service to all customers. If you have any questions or concerns about your child's progress or the swimming lessons, the Splash Start team is always available to assist. Karen welcomes open communication and is committed to ensuring every child receives the best possible swimming education.
