Splish Splash Swim School, led by Tony in Horsham, delivers top-tier swimming programmes for all ages. With a foundation of over 20 years' experience, Tony ensures lessons are both enjoyable and safe, adhering to a structured, non-competitive format.
All instructors at Splish Splash hold qualifications from the Amateur Swimming Association and The Swimming Teachers Association, and a qualified lifeguard is always present to prioritise safety. The team’s background ranges from club to competitive swimming, offering well-rounded training.
They offer small group lessons (maximum six participants), suitable for beginners to improvers, following the Swim England National Plan stages 1 to 10. For the youngest learners, they also provide the Duckling grades. Students can work towards distance awards, including up to 1600 metres, and take part in personal survival and Rookie Lifeguard training.
Lessons are held at St Joseph's College, South London, in a 12m by 25m pool with depths from 1.2m to 2.5m and a comfortable water temperature of 28-29 degrees. Classes are scheduled on Wednesdays (4:00pm to 6:30pm), Saturdays, and Sundays (11:15am to 1:15pm), during term time, with each session lasting 30 minutes.
Lessons are priced at £12.00 each, with advance term payment and a one-time registration fee of £20.00 per family. The syllabus is divided into two half-terms, featuring skills in water confidence, stroke development, safety, and survival techniques. Each child receives a Swim England progress book, with optional certificates and badges available for £5.00.
Tony brings extensive expertise to the programme, holding STA and ASA Level 2 qualifications and a Scotvec National Certificate in sports and hospitality, alongside over 25 years of experience. Together with Anita, who has 35 years in swimming instruction, and Lisa-Marie, the team offers exceptional guidance and teaching.
