Martin Maddison is reaching out to the sports community with some exciting news. He’s been involved with sports for many years and has decided to bring his organisational skills to Stagecoach Aberdeen West, a place well-known for its thriving community in the performing arts.
Let’s take a moment to introduce the team that Martin is particularly proud of:
First, there's Gillian McGregor, who heads up the music side. With over a decade of teaching music at a secondary school in Aberdeen, she's got a great background as an accomplished singer and pianist. Gillian’s been part of various choirs, bands, and musical productions. Her passion for music and vocal training expertise are a real asset to the team.
Then we have Emma MacDonald, our dance manager. She’s skilled in ballet, jazz, tap, and contemporary dance, holding a Diploma in Dance Teaching with eight years of experience teaching dance. Emma has also performed in professional dance productions, infusing her classes with technical knowledge and creativity.
Acting manager James Robertson comes from a strong drama and theatre background, having studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. He’s experienced both on stage and in directing, bringing a wealth of knowledge in teaching drama to young people. James is dedicated to helping students harness their creativity and hone their acting skills.
Safety is a top priority for Martin. Every team member at Stagecoach Aberdeen West has undergone an Enhanced DBS check to ensure a secure and supportive learning environment for all students.
Stagecoach Aberdeen West offers weekly classes for different age groups: Early Stages for children aged 4–6 years and Main Stages for those aged 6–18 years. The younger group gets a taste of singing, dancing, and drama, while the older kids delve deeper into these disciplines in age-appropriate groups.
Moreover, there are holiday workshops available. These sessions are a fantastic opportunity for kids to explore performing arts in a fun and immersive setting. It’s also a chance for them to develop their skills and make new friends.
Located at the International School of Aberdeen on Pitfodels, North Deeside Road, the facilities are spacious and well-equipped, providing an excellent learning environment for the students.
Whether your child is keen on becoming a performer or simply wants to build confidence and enjoy themselves, Stagecoach Aberdeen West is the place to be. Martin believes in every child's potential and is committed to delivering quality training in the performing arts. Join us and experience the vibrant community that is Stagecoach Aberdeen West!
