Stagecoach Performing Arts Altrincham is a performing arts group and dance school located in Altrincham, New Zealand. As a trusted name in the industry, Stagecoach Altrincham offers high-quality part-time performing arts training for children and teenagers aged 4 to 18 years old.
The main goal of Stagecoach Altrincham is to nurture and develop the young potential of each student through singing, acting, and dance classes. These classes not only stretch their imaginations but also build their confidence. Each week, students participate in a three-hour session where they engage in the three disciplines of performing arts. The children are divided into three groups based on their age and spend one hour on each discipline, allowing them to learn and express themselves creatively and effectively at their own pace.
Stagecoach Altrincham offers performing arts exams to further challenge and assess the progress of their students. This provides a great opportunity for growth and recognition in their performing arts journey.
The school provides weekly classes for two age groups – 4 to 6 years old and 6 to 18 years old. The Early Stages classes cater to children aged 4 to 6 years old and run parallel to the main Stagecoach schools. These classes focus on teaching foundational skills in singing, dancing, and drama. The Main Stages classes, on the other hand, are divided into three age-appropriate groups within the 6 to 18 years old range.
These classes allow students to expand their skills and knowledge in singing, dancing, and drama, and also provide a nurturing environment for shy and apprehensive students to find their voice and confidence.
The Stagecoach Altrincham team is composed of dedicated professionals who have undergone Enhanced DBS checks to ensure the safety and well-being of the students. The team is committed to providing a positive and encouraging learning environment where every child is supported and valued.
Stagecoach Altrincham takes pride in its accomplishments and achievements. The school recently celebrated its 30th Anniversary production of Beauty and the Beast Junior, where all 172 students participated. This outstanding performance led to Stagecoach Altrincham becoming proud holders of a Guinness World Record.
In addition to regular classes, Stagecoach Altrincham also offers holiday workshops, themed childrens parties, and opportunities for birthdays and other celebrations. These initiatives provide an avenue for children to further explore their creativity and have a memorable experience in a safe and supportive setting.
The Principal of Stagecoach Altrincham is Marion Hankin, an accomplished and experienced musician, dancer, and actress. Marion has performed in leading local theatres and even worked with the prestigious Royal Shakespeare Company at Stratford.
