Stagecoach Performing Arts Exeter, under the guidance of Principal Caroline Rochfort, provides a host of performing arts classes and workshops aimed at nurturing the talents of children and young adults. Drawing from her 20 years of experience and training at The Italia Conti Academy in London, Caroline leads Stagecoach Exeter with a commitment to helping young people develop their theatrical skills.
Stagecoach Exeter organises weekly classes tailored to different age groups. For the youngest performers, aged 4–6 years, the Early Stages classes offer 90-minute sessions each week at ISCA Academy in Exeter, where participants engage in singing, dancing, and drama. These classes seamlessly prepare children for progression to more advanced levels.
Older children and teenagers, aged 6–18 years, can join the Main Stages classes. These three-hour weekly sessions also held at ISCA Academy, are divided into age-appropriate groups and focus on enhancing skills in singing, dancing, and drama. Whether a child is reserved or enthusiastic, these classes aim to build confidence and uncover potential.
In addition to their regular classes, Stagecoach Exeter offers holiday workshops and themed children's parties. The workshops provide an engaging environment where students can delve deeper into the world of performing arts. The themed parties offer a unique way to celebrate occasions with entertainment led by the Stagecoach team.
The safety and development of students are paramount at Stagecoach Exeter. All staff members hold Enhanced DBS checks, and the school is affiliated with the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). This affiliation allows students to undertake prestigious examinations, enhancing self-confidence and technical skills.
Stagecoach Exeter's dedication to excellence has been recognised through various performances, including a notable appearance alongside The Opera Boys at Exmouth Pavilions. The school maintains an active and vibrant community, regularly sharing updates and achievements through their Facebook page and noticeboard.
